With over 25 years of clinical experience and more than 20 years in dental education, Prof Dr. Surendra Man Shrestha brings a deep commitment to excellence in patient care, teaching, and academic leadership. As both the Principal of the institution and Head of the Department of Periodontology & Oral Implantology, Prof. Shrestha plays a pivotal role in shaping the professional and ethical standards of future dental practitioners.

Throughout a distinguished career, Prof.Shrestha has been actively involved in the comprehensive management of periodontal diseases and advanced implantology procedures including more than 300 implant surgery. Their clinical acumen is complemented by a passion for teaching, mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate students with a focus on evidence-based practice, surgical precision, and holistic patient care.

Under his leadership, the department has grown into a center of excellence, offering state-of-the-art facilities, active research initiatives, and a strong emphasis on community outreach. As an academician, Prof Shrestha  has contributed to curriculum development, faculty training and national level dental education programs.
